Her Wrecking Ball clip eclipsed Korean pop culture sensation Psy and his much anticipated Wholesale Hats video for Gentleman as the top trending music video of 2013.

Baxter said the young YouTube stars who drove traffic to the video hub did so by sharing rather than competing with each other.
"Their endorsement leads to more shares and what you also see chi flat irons is them being proactive about sharing, asking their fans to share and subscribe to other channels. They are always prompting their fans to be involved," Baxter said.
While marketing gurus worldwide are trying to orchestrate the viral sharing of videos, Baxter said the success or failure of music videos, comedy clips or other visual offerings depended on a tastemaker champion to share across the vision across their social media platforms.
